Why isn't my notification light going off?

why isnt my notification light going off

whenever I get a text message there is no blue notification light going off (gs5 lollipop) any way to fix it???

Have you checked your settings under Settings -> My Device -> LED Indicator?

same with me! and i DID check my settings....frustrating

I even went through the options and flipped everything on/off and still nothing works
