Why isn't my voice mate responding on my LG Volt?

voice mate probem on LG Volt

Voice Mate just makes a tone on and off but no longer responds or stops making the tones till you stop the app. Used to work just fine.

This has been happening to me for like a week now at least i have searched google and no one anywhere has an answer to this question i am on an lg g flex not volt but the problem and solution.should be the same

I believe a recent Google update is causing the problem.
You should be getting a Voice mate update soon.
I got mine on my LG Volt yesterday, but haven't installed it yet.

The update is in 3 parts and has to be installed together.
It updates Voice Mate, Speech, and Engine.
Totals approx 209 mb.

Edit. Voice Mate works fine now after I did the update.
