I put a Slickwraps Honeycomb skin on the back on my S8 a couple days ago and was using the phone otherwise naked for the last couple days. I'm always careful with my things and have never actually dropped a phone and broken one in anyway and I've been using smartphones since the original Motorola Droid. I usually go caseless and without a screen protector and I've never had an issue yet. This phone is a bit more fragile though so I'd been using it with a Tech 21 case up until a couple days ago.
Anyway, today I received the Rhinoshield Crashguard bumper as well. The following remarks are only my initial impressions, but I see myself liking it and sticking with it. It seems to work well with the Slickwraps Honeycomb back skin. I put it on like the instructions say and it slid right on over the skin with no issues. I don't see any reason for the need to remove and reinstall the bumper over and over. It's on here pretty tight so I don't see dust and debris getting under it. Speaking of tight, the sides are nowhere near as loose as I thought they may be from some of the reviews I've read. Maybe it's a bigger problem on the S8+. It's a bit harder and more plasticy than I had imagined, I thought it would be softer and more rubbery. Using the buttons on the side is going to take a little getting used to. It's not that they are hard to push, but there is very little feel to them, probably again because the bumper is more plastic and less rubber or silicone. So far though it feels good in the hands and looks great, especially with the Slickwraps Honeycomb skin on the back.
I'll write back later with a more long term review but so far I like it and don't see why it's not getting talked about more. I'll also post some pics of the case/skin combo.
