I have an LG Optimus L7 and I've downloaded some apps from Google play store but no show of icons. Yet it shows them being downloaded my device settings. I'm unable to open up the apps.

Welcome to Android Central! Moved from the Ice Cream Sandwich forum to the Optimus L forum.

Which apps did you download? Do they show up in your App Drawer after a reboot? And just to be absolutely sure, you're not looking at your homescreen instead of your App Drawer, right?

Ive tried rebooting, factory data reset and restarting. There is absolutely nothing shown in app drawer or short cut on home screen for the ones i've downloaded. (Facebook, Messenger, TextNow)

That's very strange. Was it working fine for a long time up until recently?

In the App Drawer, are there any options to change how the apps are sorted?

Yes I have and they were working before. I've tried to wipe data & reset but unable to do that either. My button for volume down doesnt work but it does make the clicking noise as I press it.

One last thing to try would be Safe Mode: How to turn on safe mode on Lg Optimus L7 P700. If things are still malfunctioning there, then my guess would be that the firmware became corrupt. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how easy reinstalling the firmware would be on your phone -- it might require rooting. Did you get it from Verizon or some other carrier?
