Android Central Question

When I first used the S9, it had a pretty decent sound volume that I could hear any type of media very well just having the volume at the second or third grade of the whole 15 grades of volume (media). And, if I ever wanted to go full volume, it was really loud and great. But now, media sound is really lower than it used to be in the past. Moreover, I need to have the volume to be more than 7 or 8 at least to hear it (without earpieces). I'm worried if it's an issue or something wrong with the device. S9 users, could you please help me?

Some sources of media have high and good sound volume and some other sources have a lower sound volume (at the same grade of volume). I know it maybe it's related to the source. But, the point is that the sound is lower than usual. Is it related to the latest update from Samsung?
Thanks for helping.

It's turned off. I know that it decreases the volume output but the problem is that the volume output in general has used to be much better and louder. I'm afraid that there is something wrong. I'm recognizing the same problem on other Samsung devices like J7 Pro and J5.
Thank you.

may i know what is your music format?

Hmm. I've only had my S9+ for 2 days and installed 2 updates right away. I wondered too should the volume be higher. I realize it depends on the source material and some YouTube videos you can hardly hear on any phone. I don't think it's anything wrong with the phone itself, but I won't really know until I can compare it to another S9+. I do have an Ottetbox Commuter case on it. I'll have to remove it tomorrow to see if it makes a difference. Guess I'm spoiled by the Axon-7 I used to have.
