Why my phone is compatible for apps?

Why some apps are not compatible with my device all of a sudden. I have an Galaxy S7 running nougat. Some apps that are currently downloaded on my phone won't let me update them because of the same problem. I've tried clearing cache and force quitting play store and play services, any idea how to fix this??

Welcome to Android Central! Did you just get a system update to the phone? Are you in a region outside the US?
