Why my samsung note 10.1 saying firm ware upgrade encountered an issue ?

[Android Central Question]

My samsung note 10.1 version 2014 fail to upgrade and says it has encountered an issue how do i restore it back to it's normal condition ?

Welcome to Android Central! That's a very old tablet, which hasn't gotten any official updates for about 6-7 years. If you're using the system update option in the system settings, the device is most likely looking for a server that has long been deactivated, which is probably why it's failing.

I suggest upgrading to a more current device.
