AC Question

When i typed on my samsung s5 , occasionally the n7 mber came up 8nstead of letter.

Welcome to Android Central! You might be pressing the keys too long. If you don't see a number row on your keyboard, then the top row of letters probably includes numbers if you long-press. So for example, long-pressing u gives you a 7, i gives you an 8, o gives a 9, etc.

I did not press the key too long, since each letter has a number next to it, that's why sometimes the number came up. It happened too frequently and it is annoying. Please help to get rid of it.

Thx, Teresa

Check the keyboard settings -- there should be an option to change how long of a press it takes to bring up the alternate characters.

Also - are you using the stock keyboard (the one that is "just there") or are you using a different keyboard (ie. Swype, Google Keyboard, etc...?)

Thanks for tips. On my samsung phone, I turn off touch key light duration, then the numer didn't come up. On my samsung tab A2, I slow down the pointer and turn on the interaction control on the keyboard, then it works too. Thanks
