Why Nexus5 goes into boot loop until we keep pressing power button?

Nexus 5 goes into boot loop unless we keep pressing power button, has anyone found the exact cause and solution for this?

Phone initiates boot, google logo flashes and then it shuts down.
But it will start and even keep working till the time you are continuously pressing power button.
If you put it on charging, boot loop will continue.

Please share the exact cause and solution.

Welcome to Android Central! I would suspect a faulty Power button. Bring it to a repair shop to check.

I've had this problem a few times.
One time I replaced the power button which totally worked, but the problem came back about half a year later.
That time I read you can try and bang the power button pretty hard to fix it, which worked for me twice so far.
Be cautious though and think it over as it might hurt other parts of your phone.

It's a flakey power button that is getting stuck causing the boot loop. I've had 2 N5's that have had the issue. Like Cardono said hitting the phone on the side with the power on the edge of a table will fix it in the short term but it'll happen again and it'll continue to get worse. It can be fixed but you'll have to find a shop that will do it.
