This is the first phone I've ever gotten without any charger block. All you get is a USBC-USBC cable.
Why is that?

This is the new way following Apple now you will see it more and more on new releases...

Unlike Apple Samsung gives you great trade in deals and credits towards accessories and some even got free chargers

Who doesn't already have multiple chargers and cables laying sound that they can use?

I understand and respect the comments however for me, I couldn't care less because its still only 15W, and yes I have a few.

My free charger from the pre order isn't even opened since I have so many charger bricks lying around. I think even the one I got from my S21 Ultra pre order isn't open as well

But I'll keep collecting them, since they give that away during every pre order. Personally it doesn't matter for me, but for folks who don't upgrade often I need think it's good to get the charger in the box.

My Note 9 and Note 20 Ultra chargers are still in the box.

I have cables and chargers everywhere, yes. But...Apparantly, I don't have a USB-C to wall charger block. lol. I mean I have wall charger blocks for usb-c, but it's odd to have usb-c on both ends, I think. It's no big deal. Many of us have wireless charging pads now anyways. And I do have USB to usbc wall chargers that I can use if needed.

They claim its for "environmental" purposes. A bunch of bs. They say the landfills are riddled with discarded chargers. More bs. If you spent a whole week at the city dump looking for a charger I can guarantee you won't find one.

And yet they gave away free charger blocks for pre-order that came in it's own packaging. It's about money, and only money, we all know that.

It's good to have spare chargers around and all, but as technology improves and phones come with faster charging capabilities, and different charging protocols, folks may not be happy charging their new fast charge capable phones (which is one of the reasons they probably bought it for), with an old slow charger from one of their last old tech phones. So they'll end up paying extra for the new charger that works with their new phone. I wonder who wins in that scenario?

Also someone mentioned no chargers included would hurt folks like me who don't upgrade alot, which is true. I don't have a single Samsung or Apple charger if I wanted to try one of their devices. I don't even have a pixel charger that would fast charge the new pixel 6 line. And I don't have fast chargers for the new Moto phones. I also don't do wireless charging...so nothing there. I know lots of folks who don't have tons of spare chargers for any new phone they might pick up.....so they'll just pick up the charger that's no longer included with their phone, for extra cost, on top of the phone price. Exactly what the companies are counting on.

They're going after the average phone user, not phone forum folks who buy multiple phones every year, and have tons of new spare accessories laying around.

And remember those accessories folks have lots of extras of, are going to stop being new and workable soon, since they're no longer including chargers or anything else with the phones as the technology leaves your older accessories in the technological dust.

It's easy to say these policy changes won't affect you until they do  ;)

Ah, the question potential buyers will begin to ask...

I totally hear you. I like having all of my accessories for my new phone to stay intact (ie, my Pixel 5 charger and accessories - I don't like using my husband's chargers unless I have to). But this seems to be the way the smartphone world is turning...

I just find 3rd party cables and chargers better than what is in them boxes originally... I get it why peeps upset but really a non issue for so many people... I give them out to friends when they either lose one or need one... And no I'm not shipping to y'all here.. Lmao
