Why not more attention to this phone?

Was thinking about picking up one used off of Swappa. From what I've read this phone is pretty compatible to the S9 without the headphone jack but it just doesn't get much attention. Seems to have a better display and about the same quality camera (maybe a little worse) so anybody got a word to as why, and if it's worth it?

For years now, Sony just has not been able to get its marketing act together (at least in the US). They make good hardware, and they update their phones pretty well (https://www.computerworld.com/article/3336930/android/android-upgrade-report-card-pie.html), but for some reason, they've never been able to make any significant inroads into the US market (although they do pretty well in Japan, of course, and probably Taiwan).

My main concern about getting a Sony phone would be if they finally decide to exit the mobile market (which isn't completely out of the question, considering their mobile division keeps losing money: https://www.theverge.com/2018/7/31/17633792/sony-mobile-xperia-smartphone-sales-earnings-report). Support would then fade away completely.

erm,correct me if im wrong but my XZ Premium recieves updates more than my S9+ and Mate 20 Pro combined...
