Why people who posses SGS4 keep flashing roms ?

I used to be heavy into rooting/romming. But since I've gotten the s4, I haven't touched it in that aspect. I think it was a lot easier for me to root/unroot my s3 and note 2 that I did it without thinking. I may just have gotten lazier too haha. I have seen the new 4.4 KitKat rom that was available for the AT&T s4 (which I have now) and I've been wanting to try that out. But I love all of the little features my s4 offers and I'm not sure I want to sacrifice that yet. But currently I am using ThemerBeta, so I'm not using TouchWiz directly.

Okey, I understand you. Everyone is different, you may not use the S4 features and be more of a speed fan, where other people prefer to have some choice rather than nothing. You know that you can disable and hide all the "bloat" you dont like and dont want. I dont see what you gain with installing a custom kernel. Does your battery not last long enough, because i can get a full day of moderate to heavy use. About the AOSP roms, I am personally not a fan of them ( had a nexus 4 device and ditched it) just find them too broing, but this is me. Everyone is different and use his phone for different needs :)

Most of the bloat you can hide, but not disable/uninstall. I don't need a bunch of Samsung and Rogers software wasting space on my phone. By installing a custom kernel I have control over the CPU for overclocking and changing minimum CPU speeds which can be useful. My battery lasts long enough, but why not have it last longer by not having services running that I never use? Like you said, everyone is different. What you find boring I find uncluttered. What you find exciting, I find bloated and needlessly gimmicky.
