Why Root ? For the Nth time.

This Q probably been beat to death already here, but I'm new (Hello !) and just a basic user who finds the Bing thing obnoxious and wants to free up the phone to work quicker and do what I WANT to do - and not the Microsoft boys. Is it worth it for me to root ? I am no techie or computer whiz. Its a Verizon less than 30 days - should I take it back and wait for something else - or root and learn here how to manage it myself ? Just not sure if I am getting in over my head if I root.

Rooting is not difficult not do you have to be a geek to do so. If you are willing to read and learn from the forums I would say go for it. Otherwise take it back and wait for something you like out of the box. This is a great piece of hardware with a little tinkering...but you need to learn what you are doing before doing anything.

just read around about what root is, and the benefits of rooting, if it's something you want to do, then do it.
