Why should I get the Nexus Prime?

Battery life is something I would love to have. Most of my iPhone friends can outlast me on battery life ;( I am using Juice Defender which helps but I feel like it I should not need it. The Bionic seems to be a good phone and somehow Motorola can develop a thin extended battery where no one else can?

My Droid X is starting to have issues and I tried the Bionic but wasn't happy with the battery life. With new phones on the horizon I decided I would wait for the Galaxy Nexus, November 10th seems so far away. My Son and daughter's iphones 4 (not S) beat my X in every smoothness and speed test. My kids plug their iphones in maybe twice a week. I on the other hand have become accustomed to plugging in twice a day. Being a strong Android person and never having had a Apple product, I am finding myself a bit confused, but not looking for fan boy abuse. I know that the Nexus will never have the battery life of the iphone. Truth is the next gen iphone (add LTE or larger screen) won't have the battery life of the current iphone. My question is what will I gain staying with Android?

Right now my short list is 1) Larger screen. 2) LTE network. 3) Customization. 4) Open software environment. 5) NFC 6) email accounts that work great (5 via imap push) If iphone can't do this than switching is a no go.

What I can gain moving to iphone?
1) Better battery life. 2) iOS (not that its better but its not bad either)

Can anyone help add to either list? Hint: I kind of want the Android list to win.

Push notifications work great on iPhone. Email is pretty solid now too. You'll have to wait for the next model if you want LTE capabilities, and larger screen. Generally a lot of the apps are better as well. iOS is pretty stable, update system is good. Customization has come a long way, not quite on par with android yet. Only thing is you have a limited number of choice on sound alerts, plus you have to purchase them. No NFC yet, maybe next model really a non factor right now.

We are sort of inquiring the same thing though. I'm wondering should wait to see how the Nexus turns out, or should I get the iPhone instead. But honestly I know what I want in a phone, and the iPhone does it pretty well. Plus I would have to chose losing my unlimited data. Although they say with Verizon's LTE devices you can do both simultaneous voice and data at the same time. Plus the Verizon's plans are more expensive, but have much better coverage depending on where you live.

Have unlimited so I am staying on Verizon no matter what. During my brief time with the Bionic it was really helpful to be on a job site talking to tech support and looking at the documentation on the web so I could ask questions without having to hang up and call back, this I liked about LTE.

I know what you mean concerning the unlimited data. I still have mine as well, but with AT&T. I'm really considering changing, it all depends on what the Nexus reviews are. Verizon is more expensive, and LTE isn't in my area yet. I really have more benefits with AT&T, only one not being LTE right now and call reliability.
