Why so many threads on root

No offense and I'm not telling the mods what to do but there is a hacking subforum for the Eris and isn't rooting hacking?

Also there are like 6 threads open now about root, root vs 2.1, the differences, etc.

One thread in the right forum and sticky it and you can all post there.

Am I wrong??
