Why will phone not see the sd card

I put a sd card in my lg stylo but it is not recognizing the sd card, why?

Try formatting the SD card and see if that fixes the problem. Be sure to backup all your contents first just as the format will wipe it clean. What device and SD card (brand and capacity) are you using?
