Why won’t my power button work after battery installed on 1st gen Moto 360?

Changed battery put together all works except power button

First, put the old battery back in and see if it turns on. If not, and it did before (even if it didn't stay on long), the power switch went bad (just a coincidence). If it does, charge the new battery for at least 4 hours before trying to turn the phone on.
