why wont my android allow me to ckick the software update?

[Android Central Question]

I go to settings and scroll down to about phone. I click on it and find software updates and there is a red circle with the number 1 inside of it indicating that there is an update available. Yet, when i click on it i am told that it is not working at this time and to try again later. I have tried countless times and get the same result. What can i do to get the updates?
