Why won't my apps download or update on my Galaxy Avant?

Whenever I try to download an app it never downloads. I try waiting but I've been waiting 3 months for one app to download. I thought it was because of the amount of apps I had but that's not the case. I can't go on certain apps due to this problem. Please help if u can. I even tried restarting my phone, big fail.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using Google Play Store? Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data?

Try going to the App Manager, select Google Play Store, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Do the same for Download Manager. Now try again.


If that doesn't work, try going to Settings>Accounts-Google, select your Google account, and remove it completely from the phone. Then add it back again, and see if that helps.
