Why won't my battery charge unless the cord is in certain spot?

battery won't charge unless cord is in certain spot

I got my s4 active in January of 2014 and have had no trouble with it until just recently. It will only charge if the cord is held in a certain spot, whether the phone is upside down or....hanging over a bottle of lotion. What do I do? Is it a charging port issue?

Welcome to Android Central! It could be due to the charging port or the cable. Try a different cable--if the same problem occurs, then it's the port. You'd have to take the phone to a repair shop to fix it.
