Why won't my devices show on cast options?

This is pretty frustrating; I have two chromecasts and a Google Home on my wi-fi network. So theoretically, whenever my Pixel is also on that network, I should see those three things available to cast to. It's very hit and miss; sometimes they all show, sometimes just one or two, and sometimes none at all. They all show as "linked devices" in the Home app, but that doesn't mean they are available. Likewise, I won't even get the cast icon appearing in Youtube, Play Music, Photos, etc.

So, why does this happen, and how can it be fixed? Am I missing some network setting? How can I get all of my cast options to just be there as they should, since we are all on the same network??

It's not a setting in the network, but the devices may be just barely getting a network signal, so a little interference makes them disappear. You might need to reorient the Chromecaset devices (horizontal instead of vertical or the other way around), or move the router to get better coverage.
 
Thanks for the suggestion; I also tried just disconnecting and reconnecting WiFi on my phone, and instantly the devices appeared. We'll see if that keeps working in the future too.
