Why won't my Droid Turbo maintain wifi connection?

WiFi drops off when and goes to 4G when I am sitting in the same room as my modem.

Droid Turbo 2 drops wi-fi almost immediately? I tried without success all recommendations I could find on the web and then did this...

Enter Verizon's Security & Privacy app and turn Wi-Fi Security OFF.

Wi-fi connection now persists correctly.
