Why won't my galaxy s3 charge very well anymore?

yesterday it was just fine charging yesterday but now today the charging is like crap. could it be that i watch youtube all the time on it while it is on the charger?? i'm afraid that the USB port is busted and might need to be repaired, but my family and i are very low on money and won't be able to pay for repair if needed. i really need some help on figuring out what is wrong. again could it be because i watch youtube while it is on the charger all the time??? would appreciate help if you have got any to share.

While I don't have an answer to the problem I do have a cheap workaround for you. Buy a battery charger and replacement batteries. That way even if your charging port isn't working properly you still have fully charged batteries you can swap to. My S4 had a similar problem at one point (it just cleared up on its own after a few weeks so hopfully yours might too) and I found a charger with 2 batteries for $12.

I've thought my S3s plug was bad before but it turned out to be the wire.

Often it's the wire but I've also seen it be the plug, especially on chargers that stay plugged in at the time. Also blow out the port. They collect dirty and debris very easily.
