HTC M8 will not share mobile data
Greetings All, I have a problem with my newly purchased HTC M8 it is new and unlocked, I placed my telstra nano sim in it and all functions operate normally and as expected, except that when I connect my laptop or tablet to it in order to use its internet data via wifi and to be clear will connect but will not share (No Internet Connection) after a few days of hunting the problem down including a new sim card in the phone, I visited a phone shop who put a vodaphone sim into it and wouldn't you know it, it worked fine, connected and shared no problems. I have checked with the Telco to confirm they do not have to enable data sharing. My laptop and tablet will connect to any other internet source without issue, so the issue is definitely with the phone. I am thinking that the phone may have originally been flashed with vodaphone firmware which is causing the issue for any other service provider. Has anyone else encountered this problem and how did you fix it before I attempt flash the phone to original HTC android software, if I can do that.
