Why wont my HTC One M7 turn back on?

Yesterday morning I received my new HTC One M7, I turned it on and set it all up, no problems. Six hours later and it was still working perfectly fine, then I was in the middle of writing a message and the screen went black. I know it didn't die because it had 99% battery level, I tried turning it back on, but to no avail. I tried plugging it into my wall charger, to see if that would wake up the screen, but nothing happened, the red light never even came on.

This morning I tried all of the tips and tricks with the buttons and nothing worked, my phone is completely unresponsive. I'm desperate, anybody have any ideas?

Plug in the charger and wait at least 8 hours. It's possible that the battery went bad, had a dendrite (an internal short that some lithium batteries get), the charging circuit went bad or a few other things. It's new, so if a long charge doesn't fix it, they should replace it.
