Why won't my HTC One M8 send new emails or replies?

HTC One M8 WILL NOT SEND EMAILS - NEW EMAILS OR REPLIES

The standard email system on the M8 has worked fine for a year. Then suddenly would not send emails any more - an error message comes up saying an unexpected fault and asks to let HTC know my sending error report. Emails are received okay still. I have three accounts in the email - all three will not send. Strange thing is though - also have the Gmail app on the phone - and gmail is one of the accounts that will not send - it sends okay in its own app? Also downloaded Bluemail and set up the accounts there - where they send and receive okay. Anyone know how to get the standard HTC email system working again? cheers and thanks Paul

Mine just started doing the same thing. Hopefully someone knows what's going on.

There is other threads with this issue. It has to do with the Android System Webview update. Go into the playstore and Uninstall the update. This will fix your issue....

Doesn't make sense to me. Don't you go to the Play Store to download an App. I would have thought what needs deleting is on the phone
