Why won't my Kyocera Hydro play ringtones?

Kyocera Hydro won't play ringtone

I have a Kyocera Hydro and the phone won't seem to play ringtones when I get a text in the messaging App. It will play the normal tone for when I get a message on facebook and it will play a tone when I get a call. It's only for my Messaging App that it refuses to play a tone for and it really bothers me. I've made it a habit of checking my texts only because of this problem.

Welcome to Android Central! Open your Messaging app, tap Menu>Settings, and check the notification settings. Select a notification tone, just to make sure the sample plays correctly. Now does it work?
