why won't my Lg k20 plus work after charging?

Ok, can someone help me with this...I have an LG k20 Plus phone and just three days ago, it went dead on me (as in the battery ran out.) So I went to charge it. After around an hour of letting it charge, I decided to come back and check on it. I tried turning it on, but it won’t work. So I decided to let the phone charge overnight because I thought it just wasn't charged enough or something. The next day I tried to turn it on again but it didn't work. I also tried pushing both the volume down button and the Power key in order to reboot it, but that also didn't work. I tried everything from taking the battery out and looking at youtube videos to putting it in the freezer (again, from a youtube video). Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

Welcome to Android Central! Press and hold the Power button for about 30 seconds. If nothing happens, then the battery might have failed -- try getting a replacement battery.
