Why won't my Note 8 use my bluetooth headphone microphone?

I've successfully connected my Bluetooth headphones to my Note 8 and can hear all sound through them. However, the phone still uses the internal mic to pick up my voice for calls. I've tried 2 different Bluetooth headphones and the issue is the same.

When scanning for devices only one pops up for the headphones (on my computer the headphones might show as 2 different devices, one for the ear pieces and a separate for the mic...this is not the case for the Note 8 it seems). Is there a setting I'm missing?

May I know your headphone brand?
Then we could ask the customer service for a help.
