I recently bought an SD card from Carphone Warehouse for my brand new Samsung 3 mini and the phone no matter how many times i go into settings and storage, and click on SD card, the phone says at the top "preparing SD card" followed straight away by "Safe to remove SD" card. Is there something i can do with my phone to make it recognise the SD card?

Do i need to get a new SD card? if so which SD card do I need?

Any ideas or help?

Hello. Many sources say it supports up to 32GB only. Your card space being too big may be the problem.

Here is one source for reference:

Welcome.
Some devices don't like the bigger cards. Don't ask why.
Have you tried a 32GB card to see if it works?
