Why won't my predictive text/Spell check work on Instagram?

Predictive text/Spell check won't work on instagram.

Hey all,

In the last month I've noticed that as I type that smaller bar above the keyboard with the predicted words doesn't appear on Instagram. Also it doesn't correct punctuation anymore. Has anyone had this too? Is it fixable? I have a nexus 5 by the way.
