Why won't my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7 charge or switch on?

samsung galaxy tab 3 7in wont charge and wont switch on

i have tried to charge up my tab 3 and it wont charge up and i cannot switch it back on and i had this tablet for less then a year and i can go back to where i got it from under the warranty but the warranty wont cover the battery port.

would can i do now not good

If you're certain it's the USB port that's at fault, it will have to be repaired or replaced. Are you certain?
