Why won't my Samsung s8 email delete and stay deleted?

No matter how I delete emails on the Samsung stock email account, they always come back...again and again. The only way to permanently stop that from happening is to go immediately to the Trash box and delete the emails that I deleted from inbox. What do I need to change or fix to stop this problem. I can't find ANY solution on the web.

I changed my email setup from IMAP to POP3 to solve that issue. I would much rather use IMAP but every time I delete and email on the phone, it comes back. Try POP3. It solved it for me.
