Why won't my wifi turn on my galaxy s7?

I did this and success on the 3rd attemp.
Now it shows my operating system is official. It was CUSTOME when wifi won't turn on.

Guys ive solved it in my S7 edge F. The problem was a complict between the home banking app and the wifi. I had to unistall it( dunno why) and the wifi worked again. So check your recebtly installed apps cause its not a hardware issue.

Same thing happened to me- go to settings, backup & reset- reset network settings- works like a charm- everything is working perfectly now- try it!

This worked for me. My Wifi if I turned it off as I have to do for work at times. would not turn back on. it would just cycle on off on off. This seems to have3 corrected the issue

Absolutely abysmal from a service perspective for Android. That's one thing Apple has WAY over us. They have enough breadth of products and high enough quality that they could open Samsung stores just like Apple that would include servicing their products. I think they'd win even more customers if it was executed properly.

That's actually how it's done in Asia. I can walk into any Samsung Store and have them check out my phone for problems/servicing.

WHAT WORKED FOR ME:

Settings > Location > Improve Accuracy > Toggle OFF Wifi Scanning and Bluetooth Scanning.

Flipping these off stopped the on/off loop that the wifi toggle seems to go through - preventing battery drain as well. I tried everything above - short of a reset. This is the only thing that worked for me.

Thanks!!! This also helped for me! I checked my latest updated apps in my Google play and uninstalled an app related to banking and it worked again. Network restore did not work for me. I installed the app again and WiFi still works but let's see for how long. Thanks for the help!!

Every time I hit to turn on the WiFi it will not turn on. It just says "turning on..." and that's all it will do. I have tried everything. I turned my phone off and on, reset some settings, and even did a factory data reset on my phone and it will still not turn on. There for a while it turned on for 30 minutes and then went off and now it will not turn on again. When it is on, it will keep disconnecting and re-connecting and will eventually turn itself off. Is anyone else having this problem or have any suggestions to why it is doing this? I got the phone when it came out on March 11th and have not had any problems until now with the WiFi.

I had this issue with my galaxy s7. Resetting the network settings, and then restarting my phone only worked until I turned the wireless off again. Then I remembered that I had recently allowed installations from unknown sources. I turned that setting off, and was able to use wireless regularly.

Have you had any luck solving this issue? It has been happening to me for about a month now and I have tried all of the solutions people have said worked for them on here, but my problem still continues... Factory restoring, resetting network settings, restarting phone, deleting apps I even deleted photos and videos incase it was a memory problem... idk what to do

I had the same problem and it turned out that if I turn on battery saving setting the wifi calling does not work. If I turm it off power saving it works.

i know this post is old but for your future reference and others ill give a trouble shooting tip.

ive just had this happen to me right now i tried all the ideas people posted here with no luck but gave me an idea.

turn your phone off. press power key. the second you see any image on screen hold volume up + down until the phone boots up. what this does is put your phone into SAFE MODE this disables all 3rd party apps.

if your issue ceases and wifi now works then chances are its an application you have installed.

delete any recent apps that have been installed around the time off the problem. restart device.

still happening? go to google play, under MY APPS tab in the main menu check UPDATES, and look at recent updates look for any apps that were updated overnight (playstore tends to update apps while your phone is inactive at night time and connected to WIFI)

delete any apps recently updated. restart.

if while in safe mode you still cant use wifi its likely a firmware issue, try updating or factory resetting WITHOUT RESTORING YOUR DATA

if that fails its likely hardware. take it in for repairs.

just my 2c at trouble shooting as it eliminates most scenarios

FYI, you may want to try taking out the SD card if you have one and see if that corrects the problem when you restart the phone
