Why won't the built in speakers play sound?

I have a moto g phone, and lately no sound will come from the built in speakers on youtube or Google Play. The ringtone/alarms still play. If I plug in my headphones to the phone, the sounds plays just fine. I've tried restarting the phone and removing the headphones after plugging them in, but nothing will work.

Maybe something is wrong and ur phone thinks headphones r plugged in do you get a notification when heafphones r plugged in
