Why won't the gallery rotate to landscape?

I've got auto-rotate turned on and I can't find a way to get the photos in the gallery app to rotate to landscape.

I saw a forum post where someone with a Note 5 had the same problem but no resolution was posted in the thread.

Who knows what quirky "feature" Samsung has made with this phone.

Nailed it. I don't know why I couldn't think of that.
I think the problem is when I used Helium to transfer app data, it must have transferred this stock app data as well.

I cleared my cache & app data but still no dice, any other solutions? :/

I had the same issue. Did all the recommended troubleshooting with two different Samsung reps and then did master reset/factory wipe. Still didn't resolve problem. Phone is on way back to Verizon.
