Why won't youtube app allow me to use 1080p?

[Android Central Question]

My youtube app won't allow me to watch videos in 1080p. I have tried with my friend's phone, and using the same video, and he could use 1080p, but I can't. I have the Moto G7 power, and youtube is on the newest version and my screen resolution is 1080p. I don't see why my phone won't allow it, when it is on the latest version of android.
