AC Question

No matter which music platform I use (stock app, Amazon Music, Pandora, etc) the music abruptly stops playing when I go to the home screen, switch apps, or display all open apps. Basically anytime I leave a music app. No idea if it's a Nougat thing, a Galaxy S8 Plus thing, a permissions thing, or what. I update software whenever an update is available. Is anyone else having this problem and/or have a solution? Making me crazy. Thanks!

Galaxy S8 Plus
Model SM-G955U
Version 7.0
Nougat

I use either Power Amp or Neutront to play mp3s via Bluetooth with no issues. From reading your post I'm assuming that you're streaming. I don't know why that would make any difference.

I have only used Google Play Music and a Newsbeat. Neither one has this problem.

I'll take a shot in the dark here... are you using any optimization apps like Greenify? Anything that plays with running apps.

Not that I'm aware of, no. I haven't installed any, at any rate. I tried installing other music apps, same result. Music shuts off as soon as I leave the music apps screen, whether I'm streaming or not. :(

You might have to do something drastic and wipe the phone. If you do, start with one player. See if it does it right off the bat. If it fixes it, great. If not.... back to square one.
