Wi-fi Auto connecting problems

Auto WiFi connecting troubles
Howdy All.

Over all, my new Bionic is great. Switched from a iPhone 3GS. However, I'm having trouble with the phone auto connecting to wifi in various places that were never a problem with the iPhone. These are several locations I frequent regularly and the locations have been saved and remembered. I need to open the wifi setting page before the phone will connect. I don't need to re-login or touch anything, but just wait a bit on that page and then the wifi will kick in.

(Other places, like at home, the Bionic auto-connects with no problem.)

Also, if the phone stills idle for any length of time, the connection drops and goes back to 4G.

I find this rather irritating since I'm then using my paid limited data time, rather than free unlimited wifi.

Is there a setting I'm missing?

From wifi settings page hit menu and click advanced. Set wifi sleep policy to never. Should fix your 2nd issue and maybe the first as well..

Thanks !!!! I found that setting last week and set it to never sleep. Still hit or miss, as it didn't seem to have any effect.
