My G4 is with Sprint and I currently have an Airave at home but for some reason it doesn’t seem to work very well with my G4. I can be right next to it and my G4 won’t connect to it half of the time. Anyway, I am testing the use of Wi-fi calling to use in its place while I’m at home. In theory, Wi-Fi calling is supposed to save on battery by turning off the cell radio, at least according to what I’ve read about it. But what I’m actually experiencing is my battery draining much faster because when I have Wi-Fi calling on, my G4’s GPS is fully active too. Why does Wi-Fi calling require the GPS to be active full time?
As a side note, is there anything that I can do to get my Airave to work better with my G4?
