Can anyone tell me what wifi direct does and how to set it up to use it? I turned it in yesterday but there were no settings or anything.

I have 4 devices with wifi direct and have yet o get any of it to actually work properly.

TV, galaxy tab, laptop and BD player and can't get none of it to work.

Wi-Fi direct is only a sharing device where you share music and videos or even connect to a printer that supports the software. . .its useful if you understand and know how to use it, but there is a better application that you can use for simple and easy use. . .its called FoxFi its in the play market cant be seen if you are using sprint carrier but you can go to foxfi.com and download it there. it helps towards syncing or sharing your info or printing your info and it works as a wifi hotspot great too for those that dont want to root there device works great check it out

My TV has wifi direct however, I'm unable to connect my phone and TV together to share my own pictures and videos. If I use a dlna app I'm able to. So what's the point of having wifi direct built in the phone when you are unable to use the actual function of it. My laptop also has this feature, still cannot send or receive files or even connect with it.
