Might be a dumb question but I have the Verizon N4 and when I'm home connected to my wi-fi it shows both the wi-fi signal and the 4G LTE symbol. Coming from my Note 2, when I connected to wi-fi the 4G LTE symbol would go away. So I was just curious as to what data was being used???did they change this recently???

This is normal with all the newer phones (on AT&T / Verizon). The mobile connection shows even though you're on WiFi... but as long as the WiFi connection is up it should be using wifi so don't worry :).

I posted this on a similar thread my 4G LTE is white while my wife's is grayed out but both say connected to home wi-fi???

This happened on my Samsung Galaxy S3 after Verizon pushed an update. When connected to Wifi the 4G/3G stayed on to. The cause was an app called Caller ID or City ID or something like that that was part of the update.

The solution was to disable the app.

I don't know if this is a similar situation but thought I'd throw that out there.

This happens to me when I get MMS or send MMS... Or when I'm moving in and out of my WiFi range...

Sounds like more stuff from the carriers that is more downside than upside at least for us.
