Wi-Fi works, 3G will not work.

Hi all. My phone connects to Wi-Fi without any problems but it will not, for the life of it, connect to 3G and I'm incredibly frustrated. I mostly use Wi-Fi but I want to use 3G occasionally and it just refuses to work, for whatever reason. My old man has the same phone as I do, we're in the same area, and his works with no problems at all. That means it's not the area I'm in that is causing the issue. Any suggestions would be most welcome. I don't know what else to do anymore. Thank you.

Are you using a device you got from your carrier or an unlocked device branded to a different carrier? If so, have you checked your data APN?

It's from my carrier. Where would I find my data APN?

When I open Mobile Networks, I don't see an option for Access Point Names. I see Data enabled, Data roaming, and System select.

Called a help line, my phone was reprogrammed twice. That didn't work. I also did a factory reset. Am I out of luck? I really don't know else I can do, any help or advice would be appreciated.

Is your device still under warranty? Perhaps it could be sent for warranty repair.
