Widgets don't update (Nexus 4 w/ Nova Launcher)

I have been running Nova Launcher on my Nexus 4 since I bought it in May. Everything was working fine until the Jellybean 4.3 update. Now my widgets, such as messaging, Google Play Music, Email, and Wifi will not update. If i remove them and add them again the problem will fix itself, but only temporarily. I've tried reinstalling my downloaded widgets but it doesn't help. I'm running Nova Launcher 2.1.1 and i have tried enabling labs and turning on the "restart widgets on resume" and "restore widgets faster" but neither changed anything. Reinstalling Nova will be my next step but i'd rather find another solution to avoid having to setup my homescreens again.

I am also having this issue.

3rd party, nor google widgets update. Messaging, google now, eye in the sky -- these are my issues.

My locks creek widgets aren't updating either

Pandora & Weatherbug Elite. I'm also using Nova Pro launcher.

Did anyone find a solution? I'm having the same problem after the update. Running Nova Launcher, and now Simple Calendar widget and a Bible app widget on my home screen won't auto-update.

Same problem here with a Galaxy S4 Google Edition - I switched to Apex and it is working fine, but I prefer Nova.

I also have Nova running on a Nexus 10 and that is working fine - very weird.

I just posted about this in the GS4 GPe forum - same problem. 4.3, not running any launchers, not rooted. Google Calendar, Now, Music and Beautiful Widgets Pro all show same behavior - act like it's 2-3 days ago. Deleting/adding back widgets sometimes works but not always, rebooting usually does work...but now way I'm going to do that every time I want my widgets up to date.

I solved this issue - factory wipe of the device fixed the problem.

Ugh. Not sure I want to spend a couple hours setting my device up again...and what's the guarantee it won't come back?

I don't blame you - but at least you have one person (me) telling you that I did it and it worked. It makes sense since this issue seems to be isolated to only a few people - if this was happening to everyone it would be a major issue that was covered by all the blogs by now.
