None of my widgets are updating, including Google widgets such as my calendar. I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing - the widgets don't refresh. Why is Samsung such a pain to deal with after Android updates?
FWIW flushing the cache partition worked for my problem with my Samsung S7 Edge that was just upgraded to Android 7 (Nougat). The Google widget wasn't working properly before I flushed it, and now it's working perfectly.
Same here. Samsung S7 Edge on Verizon. Cleaned cache and wiped cache partition multiple times-- to no avail.
At some point it started working again (out of nowhere) and then it stopped again.
Ran all my widgets (Weather Underground and Sharptools) without any issue for over a year before the Nougat update.
Also have intermittent issues with the headphone jack now. I am connecting the S7 to my car radio and since the Android update it works only 50% of the time.
Has anyone figured out how to resolve this issue? Widgets don't update, Google Now isn't working, and--I don't know if this is related--new apps don't install until I reboot the phone (the only way I can't get out of Google Play). I wiped the cache partition--no change.
Thanks for any help.
Same problem on an S7. No one seems to know what is happening from Samsung. They are directing me to a service outlet.
App updates and installs need a reboot most of times.
Removing Google accounts fixed it for one day and then the same all over.
Anyone with a solution?
