Wierd number when texting using Thunderbolt

So i got my Thunderbolt first at BBY for $199.99 (wirefly price).
I texted the wife to tell her, she called me later and said she thought it was me but the number was really long and wierd. She texted back to see if i got it, which i did not. Which is why she call. I thought maybe is cause of the sim card. Anybody seen anything like this on their TBolt while texting?

Try rebooting

My gf and I just got ours and we experienced this when we texted eachother but not other people (perhaps because they didnt have thunderbolts or 4G). We restarted our phones and it immediately went away for both of us.

if you don't have 4G you might want to remove the card inside the phone it is for the 4G network maybe that would help your issues

someone said to do a battery pull and a sim card pull then put them back in and restart

A simple restart will correct the issue. I had the same problem.

yeah, me and my friend both got tbolt today. my phone is fine but hers shows a different number when she texts me. it comes from
1311480000467412

i had this exact issue on all 3 of my thunderbolts


it went away on its own within an hour

I did a quick search on this issue and this thread popped up. Half the time when I text my husband from my TB to his, my number shows up like that. I haven't rebooted my phone since getting it, so hopefully that does the trick. Love Android communities!

pop the battery out for 30 seconds.
