Wifi and 4g?

When I have my charge on wifi. Why is the 4g signal still there? Seems kinda odd. Normally its one or the other.

Just did a test on my charge with 4G and 3G + Wi-FI. Both the icons appear either way. I would guess it is just the way the charge is made, rest assured it would appear it is only pulling data from Wi-Fi however.
