i think i got the answer i just tryed to put the password with all caps cuz i always putting it on lower case so i tried to put them all in all caps and its working right now you must try it

Try changing the SSID and security key of your home router, and if that doesn't work, then formatting your phone might be your last resort.

If u have problem of wifi authentication then press the wps symbol on the tab or the phone and then in the modem or router and voila ! Done
Your problem is solved

For those that are having similar issues. I woke up this morning to the "Authentication" issue on my phone. It was working all last light while streaming music. I took a look at my wife's android phone and she was not connected either. I looked at my router and the front lights were all normal. I unplugged the router, waited about 10 secs and plugged it back in and the phones connected.

EDIT:

Since the "Saved Secured" showed up yet again on the phone without the phone being able to connect, I went into the Arris SURFboard6580 settings and changed the CHANNEL from 2 to AUTO and that correct my issue.

I have the Lenovo A2010 smartphone, and I got the same "Authentication problem"
For me it doesnt worked adding the MAC adress, neither changing the name of the network.
What worked for me was writing the password exactly as show with capital letters, not dq42t32... but DQ42T32....
Hope this helps someone ;)

I have Comcast WiFi ,I just purchase a gigaset tablet.every time I try to connect to WiFi it tell me its authentication please help.thank you

I had a similar problem with my home wifi, here is how I finally fixed it. First find out what your routers ip address is, I looked on my wife's phone to see what ip her phone was connected to. Next press and hold the wifi you are trying to connect to, a window will appear with selections "Forget network" and "Modify network". Select Modify network, and check the Advanced options box. Scroll down to IP settings and press the down arrow. Then select Static and scroll down to the IP address line and enter the ip you wish to connect to and save. You may need to know the routers password to complete the save. Now go back out and check your connection. If connected, repeat the above process and change the IP settings back to DHCP. If you don't do this step your phone wont auto connect to other wifi networks. This worked for me, hope it works for you.

What I had to do to solve "authentication problem"
Go to my ISP's router's home page
Select Settings LAN Wireless
Manually add android phone's MAC address (Get MAC address from Settings About phone Status)
Unplug router, wait 30 seconds, plug back in.

This might sound silly but give it a try. I had this exact problem but i found out my wifi password had to be in all capitals.
I thought it would not work as i didn't enter it as all capitals with my laptop/tablet. Once I put my password as all capitals when trying to connect via phone it worked.

Welcome to Android Central! This is a long thread with quite a few pieces of advice. Read through it first, try the solutions that are suggested, and come back if nothing helps.

I have a laptop and a Moto android phone connected to my wifi and have had no problem but when I went to connect my new phone a blu studio m hd it would say authorization problem. I tried everything listed here and nothing worked so by dumb luck this is what worked for me. I did a factory restore to my router so make sure you know the default user name and password of your router because you are going to have reset your username and password. I did this and bingo it connected right away so then I downloaded Avast for android and did a security scan of my wifi which showed I had no security which I figured what would happen but I clicked on Avast's recommendations and went back into my router and set them accordingly. After that I tried my phone again and this time it needed a password so I used the one I set up for the encrypted wifi setting something I never did before since my other devices I just used the password I used to access my router but it worked and connected to my wifi right away.

Hope this helps.
