Can somebody help me figure this out. Wi-Fi is draining my battery and I'm not even using Wi-Fi. I have unlimited data with Verizon and today I left my Wi-Fi off. You can see from the screenshots Wi-Fi is draining my battery even though it's off.

Go to settings, click on Location. At the top right of that screen click on menu button (the three dots), a window with "Scanning" will pop up. Click on that, you will go to a screen that you can turn off Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth scanning. Even when you have Wi-Fi turned off in your regular settings it will stay on for Wi-Fi scanning that makes your GPS faster and more accurate.

By the way I wouldn't say that 193 mAh in almost 8 hours is draining your battery down.

Thanks just turned them off. Was that something new to this phone or has that been in Android for a little while. I've never noticed it before.
