Sadly I appear to be having the same issue on my new S8+ that I was having on my S7 Edge wherein any calls I make over wifi are choppy and cut in and out constantly. Since I have poor cell reception at my house it was a very useful feature for me, and the fact that it worked flawlessly for me before I updated my S7 Edge to Nougat makes me think there might be something in the N software that caused this to happen.

Wondering if anyone else is encountering this.

I guess I've got a dumb question...how do you know if the call is using wifi? My understanding is that, if there is wifi available and mobile data is NOT, then the phone will use wifi calling if you and your carrier have enabled that.

It varies from carrier to carrier, but with AT&T there is a little plus sign over the wifi signal on the status bar.

For T-Mobile you will see a persistent notification when on a Wi-Fi network. Dialer will also have an icon in top left hand corner telling you which call me this is in use.
